Nonprofit HALO plans multiphase village for homeless youth in southeast KC

Staff Writer, Kansas City Business JournalA local nonprofit with an international footprint is designing and preparing to build its first project in Kansas City, expanding its footprint to address a particularly vulnerable subsection of the area’s homeless population — unaccompanied teenagers and young adults. The HALO Foundation plans a second learning center and homes for homeless and at-risk youth as phase one of a 24-acre Halo Village campus in southeast Kansas City.
